Using the notebook surge protector

Installing the surge protector

To install the surge protector:

1 Turn off and unplug the notebook to be protected.

2 Unplug the power cord from the notebook power adapter.

3 Examine the power cord plug that connects to the power adapter.

If the notebook power adapter uses a three-prong connector, go to step 4.

OR, if the notebook power adapter uses a two-prong connector, plug the

provided two to three-prong adapters into both ends of the surge protector.

4 Plug the surge protector into the notebook power adapter, then plug the

notebook power cord into the surge protector.
